By accessing and using FreeRetrospectives ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
FreeRetrospectives is a free online retrospective and shared agile workspace tool designed for teams to review sprints, carry action items forward, and keep improvement work connected to planning context. The Service allows users to create and join team sessions without requiring registration for every participant.
Session Creators: Users who create sessions must authenticate with Google, GitHub, Jira, or LinkedIn single sign-on.
Session Participants: Users joining sessions do not require an account but must complete CAPTCHA verification.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of session codes and any actions taken within your sessions.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
Data Storage: Retrospective boards, planning sessions, votes, and action items may be stored to provide shared workspaces, sprint memory, and action carryover.
Data Privacy: We do not share your session data with third parties. Session codes are unique and private to your team.
Data Deletion: Session creators can leave sessions at any time. Sessions expire automatically after 24 hours of inactivity.
The Service uses rCAPTCHA for bot protection. By joining sessions, you agree to complete CAPTCHA challenges as required. This helps maintain a secure and spam-free environment for all users.
FreeRetrospectives is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or premium tiers in the future, but core retrospective and shared workspace functionality will remain free.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.
FreeRetrospectives and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by its operators and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The Service may integrate with third-party services including login providers, rCAPTCHA, GitHub, Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps, Trello, Notion, Slack, webhooks, API/MCP clients, email delivery, and AI providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
FreeRetrospectives is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, missed action items, or inaccurate estimates.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FreeRetrospectives and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
